Maia Colquhoun
Maia is a massage therapist with over four years of hands-on experience in the bodywork profession and is now in the final months of completing her Registered Massage Therapy education. Her practice has always been grounded in a holistic perspective—one that honours the interconnected nature of the body and the individual experiences each person brings into the treatment room.
Before beginning her RMT training, Maia studied and practiced a variety of modalities, including Esalen, Lomi Lomi, acupressure, Swedish massage, craniosacral therapy, Rolfing-inspired techniques, the Trager Approach, and Deep Flow. As she completes her formal RMT education, she continues to deepen her understanding of anatomy, clinical assessment, and specific treatment planning, integrating these tools with her long-standing intuitive and somatic approach.
Maia is a naturally calm, attentive, and caring practitioner. She strives to create a safe, nurturing space where clients feel at ease and supported in their healing process. Her earlier career as a Waldorf preschool teacher and children’s gymnastics coach reflects her warm, grounded nature and her natural ability to be attuned to others.
Having lived and worked in several off-grid community land projects, Maia values nature connection, community, and intentional living. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys movement, dance, time in nature, and travel; she has lived abroad in Mexico, Australia, and Costa Rica. Maia looks forward to welcoming you into the clinic and supporting your journey toward greater ease and balance.
