Ian McLeod, MA RCC
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with over twenty years of experience specializing in substance use, addictions, trauma, and complex mental health. My work is grounded in compassion, authenticity, and evidence-based practice, and I’m dedicated to supporting individuals and families as they navigate recovery, healing, and personal growth.
Throughout my career, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the complex relationship between trauma and addiction. I integrate a range of approaches—including mindfulness, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), and somatic-based modalities—alongside a growing focus on Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy and integrative healing practices. My counselling philosophy emphasizes connection, self-awareness, and each person’s innate capacity for change.
For the past three years, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside Indigenous communities on British Columbia’s Central North Coast. This experience has been both humbling and transformative, strengthening my commitment to cultural humility, reconciliation, and learning from Indigenous wisdom and perspectives.
I’m passionate about creating safe, inclusive, and collaborative spaces where clients can explore their stories, reconnect with their strengths, and move toward greater balance and wellbeing.
