Deep Rest & Nervous System Regulation Through Sound
An immersive sound experience designed to support deep rest, restoration, and nervous system regulation. Through layered tones, vibration, melody, and frequency, participants are guided into a state of relaxation.
Facilitating this experience is Navin Sahjpaul, a Music Therapist (BMT) and Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC). Navin creates what he describes as an ‘auditory sanctuary’: a space where sound becomes an ally for restoration and transformation. Each session is thoughtfully designed to engage the nervous system, influence brainwave states, and invite deep rest.
The Instruments & Soundscape
These Sound Journeys are an auditory sanctuary through a curated blend of:
Acoustic guitar
Flute
Handpan
Crystal singing bowls
Voice
Keyboard
Ambient digital soundscapes and production
Using melodic structure, harmony, tone, pitch, and vibration, he crafts a layered sound environment that supports deep relaxation and nervous system regulation.
Benefits of Sound Journeys
Sound journeys engage the auditory system in ways that can influence brainwave activity and support parasympathetic (rest-and-digest) nervous system activation. Many participants report:
Reduced stress and anxiety
Improved sleep
Emotional release or clarity
Increased sense of calm and groundedness
Enhanced connection to self
Sound can serve as an accessible entry point into deeper states of relaxation, particularly for those who find traditional meditation challenging.
