Carmen Ostrander

MA, MACA, RTC

I’m a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor in Canada and a practicing member of the Australian Counselling Association, and College of Supervisors.

With an MA in Narrative Therapy & Community Work, and a background in Transpersonal Art Therapy, music and theatre, you’ll find my approach refreshingly collaborative and relational in supporting you to find meaningful  answers to the problems that brought you here. Or at least on the road to asking the right questions.

Drawing on 10 years of practice, broad lived experience and substance use in variously sacred, profane and therapeutic contexts, we’ll  find the right framework for your experience of the altered states and insights you’ll encounter.

Working primarily in independent practice, research and study, including graduate studies with the University of Ottawa’s inaugural Psychedelics & Spirituality program, and Therapsil’s psilocybin training, (where I’m also a supervisor), I’ve been supporting novice and experienced substance users with harm reduction since the legalization of cannabis here in 2017, and de-stigmatizing ever since. Queer, Trans and Arty types should also feel quite at home with me.
