Kiem Schutter, Clinical Director, R.Ac.
A graduate of the Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences doctorate program, Kiem Schutter has extensive experience in Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture, with a specialization in pediatrics and skin disease. He has also used a holistic healing approach to successfully treat sports-related conditions, soft tissue damage, stress-related syndromes and fatigue.
In practice, Kiem uses all aspects of TCM including Chinese herbal medicine, acupuncture, dietary therapy, cupping and Chinese massage (tui na). His extensive post-graduate studies have included pediatric health, dermatology, sinusitis and facial rejuvenation. In 2004, his clinical experience was strengthened by a visit to China to study with a doctor of Chinese medicine in the Tong Ren Hospital of Beijing. In addition, he has studied with Dr.David Lam, Lauren Brown, Robert Helmer and Mary Elizabeth Wakefeild.
After an initial assessment, Kiem will develop a clear and flexible treatment strategy designed specifically for you. Your treatments may include herbal prescriptions, Chinese therapeutic cupping and acupuncture; ultimately leading you on a path to greater well being.

Francesca Farrell, RMT, RYT
Francesca approaches treatment with the intention to move stagnant energy. She combines her background and practice of yoga, with an interest in Qi Gong, visualization and her training in Western medical massage. She has completed Cranial Sacral Level 1 and a 200-hour yoga teacher training course since her graduation from WCCMT. She tends to treat chronic dysfunction using myofascial and deep tissue techniques.

Kelly Cmolik, R.TCM.P, R.Ac.
Kelly Cmolik graduated from the 5 year Doctorate program at Vancouver’s International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is a Registered Acupuncturist and Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia (CTCMA).
Her post-graduate studies include training with in diagnostics, pregnancy and childbirth, infertility, women's health, endocrinology, anti-aging medicine and asthma. Kelly also completed the Constitutional Facial Renewal course with Mary Elizabeth Wakefield.
As an advocate of preventative health, she incorporates tui-na (Chinese therapeutic massage), nutritional counselling, aromatherapy and active listening into her practice. She also crafts custom, all natural skin care for her clients using aromatherapy and topical chinese herbs.
Kelly has a special interest in treating chronic skin conditions using a combination of internal therapy and all natural skin care products. Respiratory health is another area of focus for Kelly and has enjoyed success in the treatment of asthma and other chronic conditions affecting the lungs. She is currently accepting new clients.

Dr. Tesnim Adatya
Dr. Adatya is general practitioner and primary care physician. She holds a Doctorate degree in naturopathic medicine from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Oregon and has advanced certification as a Menopause Clinician through the National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic and Neonatal Nursing Specialties. Dr. Adatya is certified in clinical breast examinations for breast cancer risk and assessment through the Oregon Cancer Center in association with Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU). She is further certified in Obstetrics, Intravenous Therapeutic Injections, NAET and Homeopathy.
Dr. Adatya has lectured nationwide in over 300 cities to both the general public and health care professionals on topics related to reproductive health and cancer. Her lecturing circuit has included Scripps Medical Center, Arthur Ashe Institute, Cleveland Clinic, Columbia University, Harvard School of Public Health and Oregon Health Sciences University, to name a few. She is a respected authority on women’s health issues and has been interviewed nationally in print, television and radio, including NPR and CBC. Dr. Adatya has published numerous articles and is a contributing author of the book, A Woman’s Health Resource, 2nd edition.

Peter Wood, R.Ac., R.TCM.P., BPE
Peter Wood has a bachelor of physical education from the University of Manitoba. His clinical experience and focus have been on musculoskeletal rehabilitation, and he is particularly interested in asthma and sports injury rehabilitation.
Participation in a Qi Gong class ignited Peter’s fascination with the idea of qi. His curiosity led him to the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Vancouver, where he completed five years of rigorous training and was awarded a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine diploma. Peter is also a registered acupuncturist and a registered Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner. He recently completed a two-month residency at the Anhui hospital in Hefei, China.
Currently, Peter serves as the President of the board of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Association of British Columbia. He is inspired by the belief that qi is the missing link between the etiology, the cause of disease, and pathogenesis, the development of disease, in Western medicine.

Dr. Robin Armstrong, BA, DC
Dr. Robin Armstrong has been involved in the health and wellness industry for over 10 years. After seeing the success her mother, a highly competitive runner, achieved through chiropractic care, and experiencing the effects herself as a varsity volleyball player, she was inspired to pursue a career in chiropractic. Following a degree in kinesiology at the University of Western Ontario, she completed a further four years of chiropractic training at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto.
Dr. Armstrong takes a strong interest in helping people get active and stay active to enjoy a long, healthy life. Combining traditional chiropractic care with advanced soft tissue therapy (Active Release Technique), she designs individualized treatment programs to get her patients pain free, more mobile, and back enjoying life. She enjoys watching people achieve their goals because of chiropractic. Whether it is picking up their granddaughter, getting through the workday without a headache, or finishing their first 5km race.
Dr. Armstrong is also a certified yoga instructor and enjoys teaching Ashtanga, Power, and Vinyasa yoga classes where she can continue to help people achieve their goals in health and in life.

Kelsey Armstrong , RMT
Kelsey Armstrong is a graduate of the 3000 hour program at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy. A strong passion for sport related injuries and rehabilitation is what drove her into this field. Throughout the past three years, Kelsey has had the opportunity to work with varsity athletes at UBC and train with members of the Burnaby Lake Rugby Club. She often treats chronic and acute conditions using a combination of modalities such as myofacial release, joint mobilization, muscle energy and deep tissue massage to achieve specific goals, ultimately leading you to a more comfortable state of body and mind.

Marlise Meilan, MA, Registered Clinical Counselor, Buddhist Psychotherapist
Marlise Meilan (mar-leez may-lan) is a long-time yoga and Buddhist meditation practitioner. She integrates these practices with her psychotherapeutic training to create a place of safety, clarity, compassion and spaciousness in which the healing process can arise.
Marlise uses a psycho-spiritual-somatic approach to healing emotional, mental and spiritual concerns, implementing modern and traditional methods from Eastern and Western psychological standpoints, with a mind open to diverse worldviews. She is committed to helping people develop their own transformational tools for coping with emotional suffering, and to be engaged in their lives and in healthy relationships.
Marlise graduated from the Masters of Contemplative Psychotherapy program from Naropa University in Boulder, CO. She has attended professional training workshops in: trauma work, mindfulness techniques, somatic and body-centered psychotherapy, transpersonal psychology, Hakomi, couples & group psychotherapies, and professional ethics. Additionally, Marlise is a published author, certified hatha yoga teacher, and a graduate of the Visual Arts program from Emily Carr University of Art & Design.
